ANSELL®Handtools (Sheffield) Ltd is a small family business which
manufactures all types of Cold Chisels, Brick Bolsters and
Wrecking Bars along with specialist woodworking Tools
and Agricultural Implements.

It was formed by myself John Ansell and my wife Patricia in
1980 after I had gained a vast amount of experience in
Forges, both in Sheffield and in Germany.

My family connection with forging goes back to my grandfather Thomas Merrill, who was one of Sheffield's "LITTLE MESTERS", he worked independently producing hand forged cutlery items.

On moving premises in 1990 the opportunity was taken to re-organise production procedures to optimise efficiency needed to produce tools of consistently high quality and to the relevant applicable standards.

In 2000 it was found neccessary to extend the premises to accomodate increasing business and machinery needed to fulfil orders.

TO THIS DAY OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR CUSTOMERS IS TOP QUALITY AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

All products are manufactured to BS3066 were applicable using a high quality carbon steel.

We have the diversity to move from basic tools to Bespoke tools, to customer drawings / specifications very quickly.
