Community Media was first established in 1995, as a one-man operation, run from home. Over the years the initial concepts of the company have been nurtured and expanded upon and this has produced a viable working formula, which is the foundation of our company today. With Community Media’s knowledge of local authority publishing we have gone from strength to strength and we can offer a comprehensive service to all kinds of local and national promoters.

Besides producing many types of council publications, Community Media’s core business was and still is bookmarks. These are supplied under contract to public Library authorities covering 58% of the UK population. Our present production rates are as high as 2,000,000 bookmarks a month and over 90 million bookmarks have now been distributed nation-wide.

In 1998 the Department Of Education initiated the “National Year of Reading” to improve literacy skill in children. Community Media participated in this worth while venture and further developed this initiative by providing special reading programs for schools encouraging 400,000 children to read more at home with their parents.

Community Media has a talented, innovative and highly skilled design team that bring together all elements of design to create thought provoking and visual designs. We also specialise in providing advertising, graphic design and print management for voluntary and private sector organisations and have built up a reputation for providing a quality, flexible and value for money service.
